Tac has the weakest ships for defending and the strongest for killing bases.
Exp has the strongest ships for defending and the weakest for killing bases (exception - camping it up with heavy ints)
Sup is in the middle for both.

That's how I see it, seems quite balanced to me. Bar the both offensive & defensive nature of interceptors. But that's for another discussion.
