Rants is my home! It's like living in New Jersey. Not everyone's tough enough to live in Jersey, as they say.

I'm for the registration-date idea. 50 posts is much if you don't tend to spam like most of our known people here.
I took cadet I, II and answered to posts when the answers weren't there already and I still don't have 50 posts, after 9 months.
Don't encourage newbies to spam like the vets, just to read in the secret forum. Actually I see the rants forum more as a joke-side than a real forum with discussions anyway, why don't keep it the way it is and let everyone participate?

Terrible idea. First off, the funny newbie goodbye bull@#(! rants will just get posted to general, like they are half the time anyway. Second, some newbies are damn funny and removing them from rants would remove FUN from the community.
