How about all current moderators would have access to it and anyone else that wanted something added could go through the appropriate forum moderator.

The previous calendar was used just for squad games and it was pretty bare. I like the idea of opening it up and letting folks add things that may be of interest to the community, even things like movie or game premieres, etc.

There's no "Moderators" group right now but there probably will be... folks who are global mods for the board (this does not mean they can see private boards before someone asks) and if we try it and the public en masse is simply too immature to handle the ability to use a calendar we may make it so you have to go through an admin or mod to get it posted.

In any case, I'm really kind of speculating at all this... it's up to Thal and he's busy right now. Currently, the calendar is wide open. Anyone can post a new event and it will appear immediately.

Based on past experience I think we will prove that we are generally too immature. But I do like the idea of a more "open" calendar.

A big Thank you to all responsible for this board!

Good work fellas!!

And while I'm at it, how do I get one of them cool sig bars? Who do I have to suck up to? /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
noob - Shortened form of "newbie," the most hilarious insult ever invented, in which a person who uses a computer game too much is ridiculing one who does not, for being "new" at the game, which of course they once were. Generally speaking, the speaker of this "insult" is one who should be on the receiving end of most insults.

Why not add the Calendar to the Donation "priviledges" ?? I say keep it like it was on the old forums and simply allow the "donators" group access to it ????
