I like the filters. Supplying the missing bits from imagination or memory is often more interesting than actually reading it. And knowing it's gonna end up looking like @#(! might spur more creativity from some authors.

The FAO boards also feature a filter that hides threads older than 90 days.

Apparently though, not everybody uses it. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

[Oh, and most likely posts are SAVED with the swearing protection, so there's no feasible way to take them out. The reason? Probably it's just performance/cpu load. You'd need to go through the user preferences for each pageload and apply swearfilter every time... not really resource friendly.
