Hmm, maybe this was said already if it was then I am sorry.
So I was in an int and I had no ammo. When I fired my guns (which were empty) my signature rised...is that a bug?
Empty guns and signature
Its a feature /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Although it is a little inconsistent if that is the case as boosters won't raise your sig if you press the boost button and you are out of fuel. I am serious about saying it is a feature (although likely not by design) as there are times when you WANT to raise your sig. If you don't want to raise your sig when you are out of ammo just don't fire.

[unless it tastes bad, then it is yours.]
I would argue that weapons shouldn't raise their FULL signature when they're dry-firing. I think it would be more accurate for them to have something like half sig when firing empty. It's not just the bullets that raise the signature - It's the various hardware/software things that go along with each gun

O.K. I know I'm a gonna get flamed for this but here goes:
Wait, I just want to say first that I think all the devs like Mr. Dogbones do a GREAT job so this is not a slam on them
here goes:
oh, one more thing before I say it - this is not a slam on all the "purists" of the game like TB...love ya to death
alright, now I'll say it:
It seems like anytime someone finds what appears to be a (dare I say it) flaw in the game - and ESPECIALLY a flaw which players have incorporated into a part of the strategy - it is labeled a "feature" (technically, a bug CAN be considered a feature I suppose) and deemed not subject to change. Let me give some other examples which I know have been discussed before:
1) The example in this thread (sig goes up firing blanks? Even my wife knows the difference if I'm firing blanks)
2) The stupid animation when leaving the base
3) **This one is mine** The fact that uneyed ships can give eye.
I know I'll get flamed...especially for #3 (ooh, hunting eye is part of the game...its a technique....a strategy Response: That's because you guys have adapted to the "feature" and developed the technique. If the game never had this feature, and it was proposed, you'd probably dismiss it out of hand).
o.k. start the flame fest...I'll give prizes for both best response and most original profanity.

I'm pretty sure its an intended feature and not an 'oh how did that happen?' feature. If the game never had this feature the game would be a helluva lot different, probably would need lots more scouts floating around and if im understanding you right the only time you would get an "eye" is when you can see whats "eyeing" you which is pretty stupid as well.
God fishbone your so fat Obi Wan said, thats no moon thats fishbones ass!
Nice Hsharp! I like the way you worked the space theme into the insult.
I think you misunderstood #3 though. The only time you get an eye is when SOMETHING on your team can see what's eyeing you...it does not have to be your ship directly seeing the thing.

Well done and I agree...but in previous discussions the response I got was, "all sensors in Allegiance are active" - like this was some kind of scientific fact.Mordechaj wrote:QUOTE (Mordechaj @ Jul 1 2008, 05:56 PM) #3 does have sense, since you can passivley detect other's active scanning.

You and I are in the same room. You are 5 feet in front of me, facing away. I see you and give you 'eye' but you do not see me. #3 will never happen.fishbone wrote:QUOTE (fishbone @ Jul 1 2008, 03:58 PM) Nice Hsharp! I like the way you worked the space theme into the insult.

#1 is a complete non issue (DB has the argument though, if you don't want eye... don't shoot)

I am 5 feet away from you facing away...you see me...but why should the fact that you see me alert me to your presence? THAT makes no sense.TheBored wrote:QUOTE (TheBored @ Jul 1 2008, 07:08 PM) You and I are in the same room. You are 5 feet in front of me, facing away.
