Death3D wrote:QUOTE (Death3D @ Jun 26 2008, 06:01 AM) I remember one of the incidents which might have been part of your rant right now:

You were coming to my tp2 scout in your pod in their home, when I was already setup. Game was FIZ's Giga vs. Narg's TF and I was about to drop the tp2 on their recently adv garr before they got tp2 themselves, and you gave Adam4 a lead into my whereabouts. He didn't spot me but you did ruin my position enough to buy them the 6 mins (they had mined enough) to get tp2/Hvybbrs.

Granted, that game turned into a @#(!fest after that, but not using your head is a reason for a boot.

Yeah, I remember that. I've PMd him to get away. After no reaction for 3s I demanded boot. In caps. I guess that makes me 'an evil buddy of an evil comm' /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

BeltBuckle wrote:QUOTE (BeltBuckle @ Jun 25 2008, 11:01 PM) i think some of the booting rules should be loosened. i saw nany boot resign a little while ago and i think he got in trouble for it because i haven't seen him around. BEFORE U JUDGE, the other comm accidentally dropped it on a noob and he quick launched. nany screamed for 5 mins with caps lock on all chat to tell the team to resign, but alas, he was cdt stacked, and they wanted to continue. after trying to resign the normal way about a hundred times he was like THATS IT and everyone was in the lobby and we could start playing real allegiance.

u shouldnt get in trouble 4 that.
Different topic /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> In this anecdote, I'd say nany should drop comm on someone, or just leave, rather than boot resigning. One problem with boot resign is some new players don't know how to change callsigns and log back.

Anyway, this is really unrelated to the thread.

The other day I chain booted 7 people in a row without any sort of warning. Bastards all deserved it.

i don't believe a player has ever won their argument in a "boot" threat.

since beta i believe its

commanders: 294 wins
players booted: 0 wins

Dark_Sponge wrote:QUOTE (Dark_Sponge @ Jun 26 2008, 02:02 PM) Hold that rage inside you....write the callsign of that commander on your cold, black heart.....and learn how to play.
Slowly-yes slowly- you will improve......until one day........

You are the commander and that commander who wronged you before is flying for you.
At last your chance for revenge has come. You've waited 1yr 2 months and 27 days for this moment to come.......and your boot finger is already itchy.

Bide your time until the game is well underway. Make sure he is committed and wants to play. Oh, he may have forgotten about the boot so long ago but you think about it every time you play.

When the time is right send him a pm reminding him of that time he booted you......

then on all chat command him to not suck (oh wait...he's not doing it....INSUBORDINATION!) then UNLEASH your POWER in a BOOTING FRENZY!
Or maybe don't take getting booted so seriously, sheesh.

I endorse this message 100% except the part about booting him since that alone is against RoC.

And plexis you need to do 2 things. 1st GROW THE $#@! UP and 2nd read ROC b4 you post here. It clearly states a commander can boot whom ever the hell he wants to at any time for no reason without warning.

I dislike booting but FFS you were flying for SPIDEY. You were in a DREG lt int alone>? WTH for. My guess is he should have booted youu sooner.

I think it is settled. Plex was doing something stupid and gave up his team's tp2. He was even warned by ogorass.
He's lucky ff wasn't enabled or he'd be suckin' pod O2 for the rest of the game.
Verdict: Guilty as Booted.

Now someone lock this thread.

Really, we should sticky my post about first posts. I bet it would prevent at least 5% of these, which would improve everyone's quality of life significantly.
