Just kill the damn nans people... 90% of the time the gunners on the bomber will select the same target, probably the closest person to them, so you have time to knock out at least 1 or 2 scouts before the match up to another target, therefore, if it is not you, GO FOR MORE NANS.

I'm so tired of seeing 6 lt ints go for a bomber when there are 6 nans on it. KILL A FEW.

There is one exception; if you see me boosting towards a bomber and your close to it, shoot the damn thing, cus 99% of the time I ram it out of nan range, and i can almost kill it myself... Just need that extra lil somethin'. Every player has tendencies, so start recognizing them to make yourself a better team player.

Also, when you die to the turrets, the scouts usually ahve dropped a trail of prox that you can kill yourself on and get back on defense right away. Unless the enemy is TF, of course.

Actually I usually attack the last nan in the nan train, because the other scouts most likely won't cross-nan it.

That, and I like to overboost, fuel is only 2.50 a gallon in Tathlum.

If you are targeted by a bomber's turrets:

1) You didn't follow juckto's guide and you rushed to be first to the bbr. Next time wait for others. You'll have time to reflect on that as you pod back to base with me. If you're lucky you can die on the scout mines (see tip above).

2) You are in a group, so stay about 1200m from the bbr, and draw thier fire so your team can whack the run. You won't get any kills, but you probably wouldn't have anyway if you are the turret target. Most gunners can't hit anything past 1000, and if you stay just out of range they won't switch targets (especially if you are a little damaged).

If it's a lost cause, and you're one of two people defending against that 7 nan bomb run, rip out, or hide for pod pick ups and get ready to D the next base in line.

Ripping into a tele one by one to join the big pod parade back to your only tech base, just to watch it die right before you dock at it (and it was upping to advanced too!) really eats the big one.

Or we have this scenario: one bomber w/ no guns, two nans. You're in an int, for giggles let's say you have mg3. They are 1.5k from your tele/op, and closing in fast. What do I see a lot of people do in this situation?

Attack the nans.

Yep, then the tele dies, you lose that sector, and your second tech con that was planning on ripping in there can't and now has to walk in to the probed sector next to your home and most likely die. Way to waste 8-12.5k. You know what you should have done in that situation? Attack the bomber. Hell, even if you had mg2, attack the $#@!ing bomber. Anything more than two nans and you'll need to hit a scout, but two or less means you go straight for the bomber without even thinking. I've stopped so many bomb runs like this while people were yelling "ATTACK NANITES ATTACK THE SCOUTS MAN!!!" but I ignored them and stopped the run.

Lesson here: know the strength of a nan. Know the strength of your own guns. If your own guns outpower the nan, attack what it is they want to keep alive. If not, kill their lifeline, then attack.

Bloody awesome post. "Attack the nans, except when you shouldn't attack the nans!" That's really going to help people.

Here is what you should do. Shoot the fracking nan unless your commander tells you otherwise. Period.

Ramming takes a bit of practice. I find it best to NOT boost to the bomber, just fly on angle to it until I get in front and then turn to face it almost head on. Once I feel that I'm going to hit solidly (100m away or so) I hit the boost a bit. Usually, other boosting people are already there, so the turrets are engaged, and the bbr pilot is close to the base so he's already: A) lost some nans, and B) not going to AB me in the face. If those two things hold true a small ram is enough to knock the bomber off course away from the nans and then podding fun ensues.

Also, not boosting at full tilt ensures no over boost, and NOT landing in prox fields is always good for your health. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

This is where teamplay and logic comes in.
Analyzing the situation in a second.
How many nans, our tech, has the bbr been rammed, are they concentrating on xnanning.
Magic happens in 2 seconds, if everyone suddenly concentrate their fire on the bbr.
I would say a good tactic is to get them on X-nanning and then to get all 3-4 pilots to target the bbr, simultaniously.
Succesful bbr resistance as allways worked best( in my experience ) with some-one calling the shots, either TS or most often better with, `ae, `ao.

Actually if the turret gunners are tards as quite a lot tend to be you should rush in first and then stay 600-700m away from the bomber and hitting the scouts at long range while the turrets miss lots of shots and continue focus firing on you while your team mates then rush in and finish off the nans and bombers unscathed from the turrets.
