I handed out about 15 SRs at the start of the game. All of them died with not a single dead miner to show for it. I had bases in their backsectors but they only needed to mine about three sectors because they had two bases, an op and a sup as far as I could see, and then they had galvs. Let's say 15+ galvers will kill your base in a few seconds so our forward ops died. Still no dead miners. Now we have no miners and no forward bases allowing them to mine, but luckily we kill a few of his miners by which time he has Hvy Bombers, TP2 and XRM2. After an hour of turtling, buying a Sup and Enh Figs to turtle more, they end it with Res3.
What really bugged me was they had Adv Figs and galvs in about 21mins while I got Hvy Ints (someone pick up mini2) in about 22 minutes and then proceeded to galv us to bits. Aside from the woeful lack of miner O on my team, of course.
That they could even be allowed to get Adv Tech before us on a map that size really made me upset.

Good effort on Rix side though.
I am wondering if buying Rix outposts was useful at all though, given the very effective galv strategy in big games. Then again, even tech bases would eventually fall to, again powerfull, XRM2 runs (18 hvy bombers with XRM2 will destroy anything with an acceptable cost).
Maybe it would be best to exclude non-galvable IC from these games altogether (we can just barely get a squad game without someone going IC for 8 years now anyway)? It could level the playing field in these big games...
The balance principles of these big games are at least something different to toy around with, then the usual drugery of pickup/squad games. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

In every game when my tp2 sucked I did not have time to set it up properly and someone was always shouting "drop drop drop it! now!" when you are nearlly eyed and just got into the sector /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
But indeed, I am not a vet and never pretended to be one.

Thank you parci
