Or you could use lt booster for a long term boost to get there then switch to booster 1.zecro wrote:QUOTE (zecro @ May 11 2008, 05:49 AM) Think about it, how far can you travel on ONE 15-second boost period? I'm going to venture out a conservative guess at 3k. with 4 fuel, you can boost 9k, kill something, boost 3k away and cruise home. If you have the audacity to boost 6k, cruise, kill, you can boost boost back home and then cruise in your home sector.
Also giga lxys have hull like ic hvys for whoever was complaining about the hull
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

What really needs to be done, is that we have to look at the situation properly. If expansion is a problem, what is the core of the problem? Is it the range? their ability to kill miners better then other techpaths? does having Pulse Probes negate their inability to see? All these questions are good ones, but are still not the root of the issue. The root of the issue is that Exp require less "teamwork" then other techpaths with their combat ships.
None of the other techpaths allow you to go off on your own, kill the nans defending a miner, and then the miner itself while defending combat ships try to stop you. Not only does it tie up lots of manpower to defend against a "defensive" craft, but it allows people to not rely upon their teammates to get things done. Even a half incompetent person such as myself (that doesn't use the he3 bug *gasp* mostly because it would make me feel like a dirty cheater ), can drop a pulse probe and know instantly where that miner is in the sector, boost over, pop a nan and the miner, then retreat safely home.
They say HTT's are a weak end game tech....but how often is it weak because of poor teamwork or the enemy also going expansion as well?
Note: I say i don't use it, but i follow orders, so now that i think of it, the comm or someone might be using it and giving me waypoints once in a while. I guess i must tend to assume they know the miner AI better then me though or know that it's going to that rock because it's closest to the last one or something in hopes they aren't doing that. In other words i don't actively use it in a direct/knowing fashion.

giga luxy int - 701
IC hvy int - 713
I would gladly trade 12 points of hull and 5 units of fuel for a slim-ass model, a lead indicator, and good mounts.
There is no "worst" interceptor in the game. They're all great, it just depends on how you fly them.

Time for TB to take his foot out of his mouth? This is another prime example of an int ho using ill-founded arguments to defend ints from nerfing /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> How about you get a clue and then comment TB? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />Drizzo wrote:QUOTE (Drizzo @ May 12 2008, 08:48 PM) giga luxy int - 701
