It really is horrid.
Any way to promote the game more in Asian and basically Southern Hemisphere timezones?
I know I found this game on a PC magazine as a free game and fell in love with it ever since.
Perhaps gaming forums, technology forums etc catering to the geographies where "late night" alleg is their peaktime.
I'm not a huge gamer so any ideas would be great to reach the right audience.
Just hoping for this thread to be an avenue for ideas to promote the game more in Asia / Pacific / Australia / New Zealand and anywhere that is considered "late night" for the majority of Americans and Europeans that play this game.
Late night (for most) Alleg
I play in that timezone occasionally and it's not always horrible. But yeah, it tends to be pretty bad. That timeslot needs a stern @alleg or two, I think.Hellenus wrote:QUOTE (Hellenus @ Apr 22 2008, 04:24 PM) It really is horrid.

<bp|> Maybe when I grow up I can be a troll like PsycH
<bp|> or an obsessive compulsive paladin of law like Adept
A high quality server in Asia would also help a good bit I think.
And before you say, "the last thing we need is another server", IF said server brought in a few hundred new players, 20 to 30 of which were on frequently during local 'prime time', it would be self sustaining.
I know for me if I log in and the lag is bad I simply just don't play that evening. 500+ lag games are just not fun.

I don't want that time to be a @#(!-storm of hate and schadenfreude.
really now??? so before i played this game (pre jan 07) there were a ton of new people that "stayed" and of course why we have so many playing at this time.....of course not.. go troll elsewhere evincar.Evincar wrote:QUOTE (Evincar @ Apr 22 2008, 10:12 AM) might have had to do with hellenus' 25+ rank, among others
fact is this game has always been more established amongst Europeans and Americans and has nothing to do with helo ranks.. in fact how many low vet inter ranks just imbalance the game by killing 3 miners in 5 mins causing a quick resign as happens here due to the low number of players.
PLEASE let's keep this thread on track with ideas to promote the retention and promotion of players who can mainly play in these timezones only

Yes and I'm hoping we can turn late night alleg into a "primetime" for those who can only play/are in these timezones.Malicious Wraith wrote:QUOTE (Malicious Wraith @ Apr 22 2008, 06:47 AM) Ive tried... and the games are generally full of lower quality players and lesser quantities.

Part of this is the squad game timing as well. I basically have to wake up 4am or 5am on a Monday morning just to play a squad game. I'm sure it doesn't exactly encourage the retention of players in these timezones.
