Well, the Raven never sleeps, and I've just been informed of a recent battle that went on between Gigacorp and Bios from long-range scouts.

Now, I don't know what happened to all that talk about Bios being ferocious monsters, but they stood no chance. Relentless attacks by Giga on the Bios miners and a very strong territorial push. Two outpost cons met in the middle of the map (one of Bios' TP cons was destroyed before it could plant) and Bios later tried to bomb from it, but got stopped cold. Giga lost a miner too, may he rest in peace, but by that time it didn't really matter since they had Galvs on luxury fighters and Bios only had lt ints.

Giga took back the whole map and destroyed the ref and TP in Bios' tech sector. Bios fled the battle.

Now, if this happened with any old commanders, I wouldn't have gotten on here and posted, I'm happy as any other spacer when Bios gets beat. But you know the craziest thing?

Giga commander was brand new. Never seen him around. Went by the name of BBCmicro. I tried looking him up and came up with nothing. Anyone know who this guy is? Most of the pilots around these parts probably haven't been around for long enough to recognize him but I'm betting one of the older folks knows who I'm talking about. I don't know how he's kept his skills so fresh. Did Giga keep him in deep-freeze for a while? Did they hire some proficient pilot and give him a new identity?

Whatever happened, keep your eyes out for this guy.

Belts should keep their mouths shut since Bios just spiked the price for duct tape.

Seems like you will be in trouble soon enough
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

You best be joking, spider.

Besides, we make our own tape from alien hide. Holds up nicely.

Fixed.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Bios lurk the shadows. You did not see what they did have, until the shadows capture your Techbase. There will always be a next time. Be ready.

Hmm, I played a GT vs Bios game last night but it doesn't sound like this one. Maybe they replayed with same commanders and a slight change in factions straight after that one.

There was some newbie with a 6 who is clearly a returning vet commanding IC, his name wasn't BBCMicro. The bios commander was an SPQR guy not known for his awesome commanding skills. He did alright though considering, and I did get to cap a GT shipyard (now those are doors you can really fit into).

Perhaps we have 2 returning vets who are good commanders? Or maybe it is all part of some elaborate hider scheme to advance the zone game storyline?
