Okay, so I started playing this game 3 days ago..been sitting through the night straight..I love it..expect for parts of the community, just 10 minutes ago i got booted from my 2 hour long game after trying to explain to the commander that what he was doing, wasent working...things got heated, some more experienced players started telling me to shut the $#@! up...so I tell them in a classical way.. "no..you shut the $#@! up!"..next thing I know..im kicked outto of the game, and even I as one whos only been playing 3 days, could clearly see that the comms plans wasent working, as we had been trying the same thing over and over for over an hour, without luck....
Anyways..
What i wanted with this post was nothing more than to express my anger over this i guess /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />
Hard community=/
People get the boot all the time. Don't worry about it, log in with a hider and join the other team.
However, since you've been playing for three days it was probably against the community rules to boot you without yelling a lot about it on all chat. So, he doesn't see this, PM BlackViper about it.
HOWEVER you should really learn to play the game before you tell people what to do. There are people who have been playing this for eight years, and they don't like some uppity young 'un telling them they are doing it wrong, if only because said young 'un doesn't understand what he is talking about. His strategy probably wasn't working because not enough of the team was helping do it, and you talking bad about it doesn't help the situation.
Also, there is a RANTS forum. Use it.
Welcome to Allegiance! 8 years of drama!

Don't insult the guy with the boot-stick.Don't spout tactical advice when you've only been playing 3 days.Just because you're too weak to dig a hole with a shovel doesn't mean you tell your boss the shovel is broken.
Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Ofcourse you do,
What your implying with this is that i suck and did not do what the commander told me to?(even if i dident think it was good idea to begin with) if so..your wrong: I did follow exactly what i was told to do, most of us did...
It still failed massively every time...
The 2 first parts of ur list i can agree with..but this one is just ignorant and kinda unlogical, kinda like reliving the hole experience of getting booted...

Yeah...even if you were right (which is probably unlikely unless you're a returning vet, no offence but it's the truth), you need to be a respected vet to tell commanders what they're doing is wrong, and even then, unless you personally have a better idea of what to do next, there is NO point telling someone that their plan isn't working because that's just whining without being helpful.
If you have a suggestion, it's better to PM the commander (type out the first few letters of his or her name and press Tab) then proclaim something on all or team chat.
^^Note don't do this until you actually have an in-depth idea of how the game works. This means not screaming for bombers, Mustangs, Vanguards, a new garrison, BETTER FIGHTERS, faster boosters, stronger weapons, better shielding, or anything like that.

Void was pissing around for 2 hours, it was kinda humourous.
You were the one who logged out and signed back in to get rid of their (4), so don't complain when you remove your boot protection and then get booted for saying stupid stuff.

How am i even supposed to know there was some kind of boot protection?
anyways directly from Cadet I:
"Take your first boot and learn from it. Well, in general, your first boot is usually valid. It happens to every player sooner or later. Just might be the wrong action you took on a commander's bad day."
Because when you made the account you should have read the rules . They're right there when you make your account, and it's not like they're pages long or anything /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />Furax wrote:QUOTE (Furax @ Apr 9 2008, 08:22 AM) How am i even supposed to know there was some kind of boot protection?

Welcome to the game
It's just a boot, just about everyone has gotten booted sometime, and people that see you get booted/do the booting usually don't even remember much past that game about it, unless its brought up on the forums repeatedly.
Lay low, take it easy, and sign up for Cadet classes (it's not a huge commitment to go thru cadet) and learn the game without drawing a great amount of attention to yourself on the forum.
It's best to draw attention to yourself with results in game, and if you are going all out for the team for a win, doing helpful things (probing, finding the alephs skillfully, nanning) instead of doing pointless things (trying to dogfight vets) you will get noticed and complimented.
Yes, it's pointless to dogfight for a good few weeks. Really. Yes even if you are a god in other flightsims/fps games. No offense.
(Also, when people say "veteran" or "Vet" they mean someone that has been here for well over a year with recognized skills. Even then, the REALLY skilled people will call those year + vets noobies or voobs.)
Recently posted in another thread, though it might do good here:
It's a damn tough game to master, but we have alot of help available from people that devote time just helping people learn the game well. Take em up on it.
