Not much in R5 yet but there will be stuff coming out so post problems in this thread. I'll split out problems that need their own thread.

The current beta crashes when the map 'Weave' is used for me. Not the server though, just the game. If I re-start fast enough and join the game before the other me pings out, then I can get in and it works fine

Hi Dog,

Not sure if this is R5 issue or a me issue... I think it is me. O,o

I am able to access the beta server fine, and host my own LAN game fine. But, I can not seem to host a test Beta Game/Public game for some reason. Apoch did give me a link to the test.cfg text. I cut and pasted it into Notepad, then saved it as test.cfg. And placed it into my Allegiance folder.

When I try to launch a public game I get and error and something about not being able to download a file... I tried to put the test.cfg into my art folder, the server folder and server art folder in case somehow it was to go into those places. So far I get the same error.

If this is another topic I am sorry about that.

It is safe to ignore the autoupdate messages from the server in this case. Make sure the allegiance.cfg file you are using has the filechecksum and any autoupdate lines commented out. I can post my .cfg file this evening after I get home from the office.

Dog, Dude... That was fast. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

OK, I will look for your .cfg file post.

And, Thanks Dog.

Hey dog, man evrery time I try to start my own LAN game, i get the same error.

An error occured while creating a new game:
The server through an exception.

I have no idea what this means.

P.S.
How can a server through something if it doesn't have arms?
Why has my pic been deleted?

You trying a standard core or one of the new cores?
This error most often occurs where there is a missing or corrupt artwork file.

Have you ever used the filemon utility? Have it watch your artwork folder (not an entire disk) and then launch the server. filemon may point you towards the file which had/has an error.

make sure your server reg keys point to the right directories. (i.e. the ones your files are actually located)
