um, peety.. you know that you can localize the time, right? It's under Your Controls -> Board Settings. Put your local time zone there, and the times will reflect your local time.

I've been monitoring the forum clock for the last month, and it's slowly been slipping backwards again. (from three minutes behind to five minutes behind)

Yes, I am actually on vacation for 4.5 months, and therefore have nothing better to do /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (Sorry!)

You're right, it is. The last time I looked at the logs I saw evidence of a bug in a piece of hardware that would cause those symptoms.

I'll log in once a month or so and fix the time, or maybe set up a daemon to do it for me automatically.

Looks great for windows, but I'd need a linux solution. Preferably a cron job or something that can be run once a day, syncing the clock to one of those atomic thingamagiggies.

I'll get to it.

Alright I just added a cron job to sync the time once a day. I purposely didn't run it today since I can see the time is off by a few minutes right now. If the time fixes itself tomorrow, then it's properly updating itself once a day.

Yep it's done. It's syncing with time-a.nist.gov every day at midnight.
