So in a recent game some of my teammates were using observers to deliver tp2 through a camped aleph to scouts waiting inside. Personally I'd consider this an exploit. What are your thoughts on this?

Edit: clarify.

I'd say it's an exploit. Observers have close to no sig (if it actually isn't 0%) and thus can go through camps undetected. I think observers should be taken out, as they don't really serve a purpose in the game. Or at least take out the cargo slots.

dam!

full points for imagination.

no points for playing fair.

i would consider it an exploit, noir needs to change them so they are un-flyable if carrying anything with mass. and set it o they carry 0 missiles or packs etc.

They are set to 0 for everything, unfortunatly 0 in allegiance doesnt mean 0, it means 1 when it comes to selecting "parts for other ships" But yes i'd lower the thrust on the obs so they cant exactly move when they have something in cargo.

Currently its set at 30, id drop it down to maybe 10

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Who would have guessed... This is an impressive abuse of a useless tool.

i would consider it an under-advertized feature, meaning it is not cheating
however, i would also not use it, as it is dishonorable and dirty.
maybe if they made the observers so they can't carry any cargo...

It is abuse of an oversight. The ship is meant as a tool to observe the game, it is not meant to take part in the game. It kinda shows in the name.
