having a newline character within the url tags seems to break them when you go back to edit a post / sig

e.g. if i have

Code: Select all

[url=http://www.google.com]a link to google
(click here)[/url]
and submit that, it will work fine and be excactly as intended like:
a link to google
(click here)

but if i then go and edit the post with that in, it will have changed to

Code: Select all

<a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">a link to google
(click here)</a>
and look like
<a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">a link to google
(click here)</a>

when i next submit it, unless i go and change all the html back into bb code, which is quite a pain if you repeatedly edit something with a multi line link in

I wish I could fix that, but it's an IPB bug.

they will probably tell me i don't have a support contract or something, even though its a defect in their software which it would be good for them to fix anyway
/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roll:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

guess i will have to just put each line in separate url tags
