RHINO, i saw you play and i truly believe you are doing fine on the main server if you feel like you need more time to learn..please ask one of the vet's to help you out or join the cadet...

Thanks for the compliment; it's not that I need to learn how to fly on the newbie servers, it's more about learning to comm. Nobody will let me comm (and for good reason of course, I'm not objecting) on the main server, and I can rarely come on at peak times to participate in a side game. As for cadet, I applied to the next course already. But the point of my post (as I'm past the old limit for the newbie servers anyways) was that having the limit at (4) kept experienced newbies from trying out commanding. At least me. /glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />

The general consensus on the lowering of the rank limit on the newbie server was that it is counterproductive to fly on the newbie server once you understand the controls and basics of gameplay. The "real" or main server settings are often quite different, with lower resources/treasures/starting cash etc. You won't learn anything on the newbie server for commanding that you couldn't learn either in a solo game or in a 1v1 with a friend.

What is this "friend" you speak of? /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Maybe I'll try that. I doubt you could learn much more than the interface from solo... somehow it seems that you could develop a dumb habit if you tried commanding solo the first couple times. Issue resolved I guess.

Would probably be better if the game server just kicked all vets (instead of ASGS banning all vets) if the game name says "newbie".

I agree. Just because it says newbie in the name has nothing to do with it.The servers should prevent vets from playing. If it doesn't,they should be allowed to play on that server. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Custom server names are silly. We need to eliminate them and just show settings in the lobby. Integrate with ZG and SG features.
