There should be no reward for keeping the community alive. Why the incentive? So people can feel better about themselves?
Look, it's simple. Report people trying to crash the game, or don't. Eventually, if people crash the game YOU wont' have a gave to come back to and you'll be sitting at home in your nifty computer chair with your thumb up your ass wondering when Alleg will be back.
REPORT HACKERS! It's as simple as that.

Last time someone did that on another online game forum he was bombarded with pm's of people who didn't like each other. I think you will get lot of lagjumping messages too.

Let's start it now. If you report it (a vulnerability or someone doing something truly "fishy") and it truly happened, then I will reward you.

Please, stop misusing the term hacker.
This person is a cheat, possibly a cracker. A hacker is somebody with thorough knowledge of a system. Many of our admins are hackers, since they know Allegiance inside and out, and are working to make it better. A cracker is the sort of person who breaks and exploits systems, and thinks that makes him a hacker.
Don't let the crackers (and Hollywood) hijack the term hacker. It's an honoric, not the badge of a criminal.

Also I'm glad cheats like that aren't divulged to the general community. The temptation would be too much for many. I just hope it's something that can be prevented now that it's known about.

<bp|> Maybe when I grow up I can be a troll like PsycH
<bp|> or an obsessive compulsive paladin of law like Adept
Yeah, with you on the whole misuse of the term "hacker."
Great work on finding him out, though /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
edit : can the admins confirm or deny if this is the cause of recent apparent server instability?

ditto. Especially since 90% of the people that get referred to as hackers are nothing more then mere script kiddies. Dunno if i'd be able to spot anyone doing anything malicious though, i tend to take things as jokes (even if its in bad taste when said). Mostly because of the volatile personalities of some of the more eccentric veterans who play /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
