Phoenix HTT Late game.
To use nix htt properly and effectively you need a team that works together...the turret on them is useless cause you need adv exp....right.A hint is usually better than 1 turret. The shields make up for the naning problem. but if you send in ints first it is an easy ride because the other team is podded, the ints can then camp. It's like int bombing...but htting.

Actually, you need a team that works toghether to cap something with any HTT (maybe besides BIOS one). Also, rushing in ints befroe HTT/bbr is going in is a tactic valid for all facitons. The small problem is, that competent camping team will utterly own the rushing team if they are on similar tech level.jassim8 wrote:QUOTE (jassim8 @ Jan 26 2008, 12:03 PM) To use nix htt properly and effectively you need a team that works together...the turret on them is useless cause you need adv exp....right.A hint is usually better than 1 turret. However, HTTs work best when attacking from surprise. Getting into the target sector ninja style, setting up nicely and then striking when the opposing team is tied up elsewhere. That's why you probe (yes spidey, I admit I should've mention it earlier /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />) against HTT team just as much as you would against SB team.
As for stopping nix HTT with various tech:
sup - dis2/3 and galvs + df2/3 on enh/adv figs tend to do the trick (if the figs are smart enough to stick toghether and pound the @#(! of the HTT at the same time)
tac - probes + EMP mines + killerz to finnish the job. This is where the lack of nanage hurts nix the most. Pie.
exp - well, ints with EMP. Lots of ints. Also, feeding an EMP missile to the nix HTT works wonders. *poof* and we have a sitting duck. Quite hard to pull off, but doable.
This better be a jokePsycHosis wrote:QUOTE (PsycHosis @ Jan 25 2008, 08:42 PM) currently nix has a near outrageous money perk, and is going to be corrected in 4.7
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
The problem with nix is, that their bbrs and htts are underpowered in big games, but their whoringcheese (i.e. lazerblossoms) is nearly unbeatable. So a lot of long boring games happen, in which everybody is waiting until nix has some assaultbases and all the whoringcheese for 1000000$. Many times the nix-team is only able to cap or blow something, when they have enough cheese to camp the enemy techbases.
So you want a boring crapgame? Go nix!

I concur, especially since Nix HTT's are essentially useless unless you drop shields, which is the only thing keeping them alive. Laser turrets are more cheese then blossoms though, they can shred most things easily and will win most fights as long as you aren't going through camped alephs.... /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />l1ngus wrote:QUOTE (l1ngus @ Jan 28 2008, 08:01 PM) The problem with nix is, that their bbrs and htts are underpowered in big games, but their whoringcheese (i.e. lazerblossoms) is nearly unbeatable.
