I was being sarcastic because Weylin's idea was just dumb.

This will not work. While 1 vs 1 with the missile is possible, if something fired a missile then it is very likely that another missile would be fired. The observer is not big enough and does not have enough hull or accel to deal with a large amount of missiles, its easier to just blanket the base under attack with minefields or laser blossom. You should think about the flaws in your ideas before posting them.

Minefields don't care about missiles flying through them (unless you're talking EoR EMP Mine, which is actually a small tower not unlike Rix combat drones). Blossoms are technically shooting probes as well, so that will work (provided one of the shots will hit the missile).

...and when you're shooting someone down, you should check your facts.

I wasnt being serious, guys.

Of course its a dumb tactic with so many things that would lead to its failure.

But I still think comms should use an observer rush instead of resigning /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> then the game is least likley to end with people complaining about the stack and instead laughing about the observers /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

weird.... but funny i've never seen or been in an observer...it is a pointless waste of cash (not that 10$ will make a difference)

I know exactly what it's for, im just suggesting alternate uses for it /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

For example, with there 0 signature, they make for perfect scouts, although you have to collide with the target before you can see it.
