Just about all the laser type weapons on alleg are a single flat picture thats hard to see if they are impacting or not, would it be possible that they make it a 3D model perhaps a simple streched out diamond shape? (8 sided) Even having three flat pictures crossing through the other might work.

That is exactly how pheonix does lasers. Part of the problem is that alleg's engine applies sector lighting to all models, including 3-D projectiles, so they can't "glow" and are always dimmer than the texture alone would suggest.

Hmm i just wonder if a new freeware graphic engine can be implemented into Allegiance to fix the lighting problems and maybe open the way to new features .
We should take this in consideration if it wouldn't be to much work involved for the dev team , because weall know they are not getting payed for this they are volunteer's /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

You said "new" and "implemented". That means lots of work for the dev team.

Truly the only reason you can't see them if you are firing is if you are at a standstill 500m shootout with a newbie.

If you are moving or strafing (which I reccomend HIGHLY) you WILL see them and you SHOULDN'T have this issue again.

Or at least so it seems. I spent 30 minutes testing the GT and pheonix lasers and it seems my theory is correct.

I'm still waiting for someone to get the miner effect gun working (with the lighting/electrical effect).
