Fantastic game-CBshadowhawk was the original commander and led a team down by +100 elo points to near victory before he dropped out. We had the enemy confined to their home sector for about 30 minutes with a u-mine and gunships, which we couldnt seem to crack, when suddenly due to an uneyed tp drop they all showed up into our home and killed the garrison and nearly our sup. Adaven took over comm and patiently got us on our feet again, then spidey showed up and pulled the team together for the final attacks. And yes I did make a pretty tp drop when we seemed to be nearly lost again, but the real credit must go to some unnamed hero on our team who with his fighter bomber cleared a ref and a tp in the sector i dropped in allowing our attack to come in uneyed. Great game by both teams, the kind of game that will keep our newer players coming back for more.

That was actually a (3) Adaven had given a FighterBomber to by accident. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

I guess the "Trying" is there, because you don't know how to bomb. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I had a newbie (2) get ahold of a bomber one time, and get 3 base kills. I don't know how he got the bomber, but I noticed 't097(2) has destroyed...' - He went on to get two more base kills. It was awesome.

Never underestimate the newbies.

That was by accident? I'm hurt!

But yeah, pretty phenomenal (and lengthy!) game all things considered. I think you guys have got me hooked :)
A screaming comes across the sky. It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

Being taught that I could be the most valuable player on the team just by loading a nan was the thing that made me famous, and I wish I could remember who it was that actually took the time to explain to me how to load a nan.
The new training mission in R4 seems to be working. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Now if there could only be a mission on how to read the minimap and use F8 to select the launch point. That would fix the other problem of newbies always asking "where is the bbr?" and then launching from clear cross the map, happily informing you that they are "on my way ..."

Lest anyone accuse me of being mean, I haven't been here so long as to forget my first week at Alleg, in which I was completely lost in space when it came to figuring out which sector I was, and which sector I needed to be.

They should be pretty good at it. Bombers are all they ever fly on the newbie server. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

But they usually don't face up against real defenses. And that was only on one run.

I am fairly sure at this point that I'm hallucinating/dreaming.

don't listen to that, instead please do underestimate us so newbs like me, who mostly get podded before even spotting the ennemy shooting, can get at least one shot for the "assist" point /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

It's true, I've noticed that when I ask 'do you know how to nan', more newbs are saying 'yeah I did the training on it'.
