I have an old sidewinder precision pro that i'm playing on and i'm trying to see if anyone has any favorite joysticks that they use that are less than $100 (lol @ the guy using a steel battalion controller. I know you're out there /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ). Thanks for the advice in advance

I don't use JS but the sidewinder is definitely an old favorite. Lots of Allegites still use it.

Depends on the player, some guys will swear by the sidewinder. Personally I dont like it, my baby is the Saitek X52, looks sexy, feels sexy, plays sexy. /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Sidewinder for about 6 years. I just could not find them on Ebay anymore.

Current is Logitech Extreme 3D pro. I do like it for the layout. Similar to the MS but sturdier.

I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, too. I bought the one with the heavy metal base. Some of the ones I've seen on store shelves have a much lighter plastic base. I don't think I'd like that version as much.

I fly with a MS sidewinder Force Feedback Pro. Probably needless to say, I have the force feedback off. It's like an old friend, I both fly and turret with it.

The Saitek system looks really sexy, but it's probably very expensive. The twist stick feature is a sucky solution to replace pedals for a flight sim, but for Allegiance it's pretty much just right.

Where'd you get the heavy base one from? Does it cost more than the "plastic" kind? Thanks.
