1. Presumably there's nothing to stop you setting up your own website with alleg info. If enough people disagree with the way CDT is managed they could produce something of their own. It's not unreasonable that the people who wrote CDT get to decide how it's used. Similarly I also assume that noone would complain if you wrote your own material from scratch and made it public.

2. Perhaps it would be a useful middle ground for CDT material to be made available on request to some non-new players. Some people like myself don't ever plan on taking the CDT course but could probably benefit from reading the material. Although how you decide who should get to see it I don't know but this could provide the best of both worlds.

Also, interestingly, a while back I wrote a piece on missile lock based on my own code analysis, which (I was told) was used to update CDT. But since I'm not planning on taking CDT I'll never get to see the bit that's based on my own work.

Meh.

I had a REALLY long post written, summarizing the reasons people have given for keeping it private, and poking holes in the logic they used, but when I was done, I realized no one would read it because it was like 4 pages long.

In the end, the only responses which have made ANY logical sense at all were Clay's and BV's.

And, in the end, since they are the gods of the ACS program, we'll all bow to their divine will. And maybe, occasionally, sacrifice someonething to them.

omg stfu! You're going to make them all hate me! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Actually, despite the unpopularity of the position, I find I rather like you too.

Not sure if its because I tend to favor the underdog, and when I first joined here you were the most popular trash target, or whether its because I chuckle almost every time I read one of your posts.

Probably it's a symptom of a self-destructive cycle where I build myself up in a community, and then try to make myself as unpopular as possible /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> j/k

All jokes aside, though, I think you're a good guy. I like to decide for myself about people.

Prove you wrong? What is this, second grade?

I say that God exists, prove me wrong.

I say that I can swallow all of the ACS material in one sitting, and pull on a large majority of it effectively ingame. Prove me wrong.

Now go shush, and stop speaking for everyone.

Edit: I dont really think that god exists. Prove he does. : P

Well, in the command case, it at least represents a testable hypothesis, and you could design an experiment around it. No one has yet come up with a testable hypothesis for the existence of god.

God is as real as the possibility of an unkown oil field under a large amount of undeveloped land in Iowa.

Not something I am going to invest in : P!

I'm simply pointing out that there is a great deal of difference between 'prove it' statements directed at testable vs. untestable hypotheses.
