I spent all but the first 10 min of the latest zone game defending miners, so I don't really have that much of a clue of the bigger picture.

Is there a raport somewhere?

Last I heard from the 'net, not many reporters made it back. At least we can infer it was bad for the coalition.

GT won. Both teams made it to the end.

Admiral Para and Admiral Spidey are undefeated as a team during this latest round of warfare
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Drat. Somebody should try to chronicle what happens in the ZG's a bit, I think.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to hear what ultimately happened. I just know that at least one IC faction went TAC early, and put a lot of their effort into killing our miners, sometimes with success, but more often not.

1,5 h of that, and suddenly the game ended. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I hope somebody has a better idea of what ultimately happened. I don't even know what tech bases my side (blue) went with :( Heavy scouts was a good call though.

Innitial IC plans were to push hard on one faction and eliminate them. Drizz was to go Tac exp or Tac Sup with innitial tac to just get on miners and try and whipe their econs. I was to bomb rush hard.

Upon seeing the map and sectors we should have switched roles as we nearly had all tac rocks. But we did push our op next to spidey's home, as op built bombers were done. 8 minutes later we had our first bomb run. Lost a few miners innitially.

Combined efforts of both GT teams one int camping other bombing and/or dual bomb runs result in our forward op being destroyed. We managed to kill a few pushed cons from Spidey's team during this time as well.

Fell back to the sup where many valiant efforts by both our team and Drizz's allowed it to live for quite some time, although mining was hampered and ground nearly to a hault.

Eventually the sup fell to a large push by both the GT teams, one int camping the other full on bomber train. Although the first push of this nature failed when brave IC forces launched from home and ripped to the tele instead of launching from the camped sup, therefore resulting in the defence of the sup. But the bombers kept rolling in and we were unable to gain the upper hand.

We eventually were pushed back to our garrison where we held out for quite some time using bombers on Defence and light ints.

Ugh... all those SFs on Para's miners! /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" /> That was painful. It was like wave after wave of SFs and not enough miner D. I'd see 4 visible SF's at a time with more backing up. Felt like the whole team was miner hunting. /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" /> You guys whore'd them good.

The winning side had great team work which I did not see much in action in the other side.

Para and I usually spend 30 or 40 minutes before each game talking strategy.

It usually helps /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Here's a transcript of our pre-game discussion:

Spidey: I ended up with you again?! Damnit, time to carry the weight.

Para: I LIKE HoD

Spidey: Good para... distract the other teams long enough while I buy heavy ints and wtfpwn them.

Para: I LIKE TURTLES!!!

(just in case the second comment by me needs clarification, here's video interview of me recently: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CMNry4PE93Y)
