Windows Version (and Service Packs): Windows XP SP2
Processor Speed: Pentium 4 3GHz (multi-threaded)
RAM: 1Go
Video Card (Make and Model#):
Sound Card (Make and Model#):
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): DSL
Modem (Make and Model#): Freebox
Router (Make and Model#): -none-
Internet Service Provider(company name): Free
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): France
Installed Mods: -none-

Problem Encountered at Step #: 8 - access to lobby
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): Allegiance
What Error Message: Failed to connect to the lobby
Comments (What you tried, description, etc):

When ZoneAlarm is running, I get the "Falied to connect to the lobby" error message, but alliance.exe is authorized to access internet as both client and server. Also, I checked the alert listing of ZoneAlarm and I can't see anything being related ...

When I turn off ZoneAlarm, it works fine. Meanwhile, I need it running to protect myself ...

Anyone got an idea?

I'm using ZoneAlarm Pro v5.1.033.000

And my others program/games works fine

Thanks for the help

Find the option in ZA that goes "Be anal retentive." and turn it off.

Seriously, that thing is pure pain in the ass. I don't have any solution other than switching to a less paranoid firewall like Sygate. Or someone who has uses ZA here will chime in. There are a couple I know.

I don't have this option ... I suppose it is a feature of a new version

Hmm, I was informed it's part of ZA's design philosophy? /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
