I had some trouble playing R4(haven't played any of the other betas).
Everything was pretty laggy(I never lag in the normal game) and eventually I was kicked for "no return ping". Then it jumped me back into the game in a pod. I was flying through objects such weapons and cash when I should have been picking them up. The person who picked me up also noted my pod jumping all around. After exiting Allegiance I started it up again and joined a regular game without any lag.
I started a packet capture after I was kicked, but at first glance everything looks ok. If you'd like the capture send me a pm.
R4 Lag Troubles
No need to send a packet capture.
Just 'ping -n 20 fazdev.alleg.net' and see what that reports. I am guessing you just have a not so great connection to the beta server.
You can also try the new <esc> p command which will produce a report of your average ping time as well as everyone else in the game.
R4 should not be any laggy'er than R3
