It's really simple.

If I wanted to micromanage you Ford, I'd go play Homeworld. Or Starcraft. I don't. Show some initiative.

By Definition(or atleast this definition) I Qualify as a "Great comm" but rather poeple just call me a dictator...
and..poeple rarly listen anyway.

Guess I'll have to agree with Guitarisim here.

BTW, if you play under Aarm, you'll notice he rarly say's anything, so He's either telling poeple what to do privatly(which I doubt) or he just gets the best players and they do everything, because they know what NEEDs to be DONE!

A really good team probably needs to say next to nothing, they are all thinking the same thing and know what to do.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

aarm's commanding style is "stream of thought". He says things that he might do or what he wants to do. He says what the enemy might/should do. He also keeps the team updated on con/miner movement. The people listening to him disseminate that info into what they should be doing. Of course, this is all on TS with a competent team on his side. In PUGs, he just sets things up and goes out to kill @#(!.

Ok... Micros Managing... Works only in Squad games and even then that is redundant.

In Pick up games a Commander wants the majority of his team doing exactly what he asks.

Later in the game "wing leaders" are established. Those who step up to the plate and will get credit and blame for successful and failed operations.

Also Certian players define themselves are utility, and are useful in their scouts of as miner D. or even as the loan miner hunter that constantly cause miner disruptions.

Micromanaging is just plain stupid. the biggest micromanagement is: I'll give you an Ingame built in command and you follow it or you don't and I get annoyed.

Generally it's just not practical, micro managing poeple takes too long. Consider real war... there is a prep session and then once the battle has begun it's all improv

In conclusion your a newb

flying with aarm as comm, if you are on ts of course, will somehow transmit a higher situational awareness. i think that's the great remarkable thing about him, he can transmit his understanding of the flow of the game through that 'stream of thoughts' that happens on ts.
Classifiable up to Trolleomorphism.
