SRM commanding both teams? Or are you saying that would end up as a draw? /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />Tallon wrote:QUOTE (Tallon @ Sep 9 2007, 03:37 AM) I'm trying to envision a scenario where a team has an SRM comm and also a chance of winning. I don't see it?

One day I was playing a game with a certain insane person as comm. His team was being whored mercilessly by superior tech, the other team refused to finish him off, and he refused to resign. I posted a resign and was booted. I couldn't join the other team because of imbalance. I changed my nick, returned, posted a resign, and was booted again. This occurred 6 or 7 times before, finally, mercifully, the team was finished off (by a bunch of cap ships, IIRC).
The moral of this story? I don't have one. I'm going to play ogame now, have a nice day!

The commander shouldn't even be able to see that a vote has been posted.
Whatever arcane magicks allow this thing called Allegiance to work should limit resign votes to, say, one every five minutes, any more than this and the proposer should get an auto-boot, that way they could come and complain about how they had booted themselves and ask what BV is going to do to them because of it.

Only one ballot (i.e. vote) can be active at any time for each type. The valid types being "resign", "draw", and "mutiny". So until an active #resign is voted on and the vote reported, no other #resign's will be accepted. I'd need to check the timeout for a ballot. It will end whenever everyone has voted or the timeout period as elapsed. I think it is on the order of a few minutes (I am at the office and don't have ready access to the code).
The commander does not see a mutiny in progress, but they will see a failed mutiny and of course they will immediately know about a successful mutiny /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />
