Doesn't Finland have DST?

my problem is that both zone games were scheduled on saturdays when i work /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> . If I had the schedule then I could have taken the day, now i can't and I will only watch the clock as the time passes by on saturday for me to get home and hear highlights.
One quick question, is there any way of recording the action that takes place in game and watching it again? Probably is stupid but I wouldnt mind being able to watch a great squad game or zone game.

Uh, yeah, but since it's still DST in both countries, it shouldn't effect the calculation... should it?Cadillac wrote:QUOTE (Cadillac @ Oct 6 2007, 12:28 AM) Doesn't Finland have DST?
We are at GMT +2 here in Finland.

You are at GMT+2 sure, which is EET (Eastern European Time)
But if you have DST, it means that you are GMT+3 now, which is EEST (Eastern European Summer Time).
Meaning that if the game is played at 2pm EDT. Which is 6pm GMT. Which is 9pm EEST.

Not yet /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I'll have to work this out. I read from Wikipedia that EST was adjusted... hm.... wait:Cadillac wrote:QUOTE (Cadillac @ Oct 6 2007, 12:47 PM) You are at GMT+2 sure, which is EET (Eastern European Time)

From Wikipedia:
"in the United States and Canada, this time zone is generally called Eastern Time (ET). Specifically, it is Eastern Standard Time (EST) when observing standard time (Winter), and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) when observing daylight saving time (Summer)."
Ah! So Allegiance time is not adjusted for daylight saving time. I missed that on the first reading.
That does indeed mean that in finland (in the summertime) the 2 PM becomes 9 PM, or rather 21:00 as we would put it.
Thanks for the help.

I used to live in the north of the country, and in the winter that wasn't even very funny:

Then again in the summer the sun doesn't go down at all. It makes the summer nights pretty neat.
