This catty retort is an obvious display of my point. since you seem to be mocking my suggestions with very wordy type answers that solve nothing. Let me turn back to the number system and respond to some of this ignorance. For your point being that my suggestions were a waste of time and newbies have all the help they need not to feel like they are unwanted you sure did prove yourself wrong with your opening statement of "I wish new accounts couldn't post for a month except for the help and cadet forums." Personally I wish "idiots" couldn't post for a lifetime /glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />

#1 "If you ask questions we answer, if they are aimed towrds learning anyway."
{"we answer" ... since you do..infact answer .. not helpfully ...as proven in your last reply...#1 was for the 90% that dont}

#2 "The comm doesn't need to spend the entire game giving orders to newbies, if a vet gives you a command do it unless the commander said something else (This is just because most likely that command has real value)"
{ You are assuming this suggestion was due to my conception that all commands other then comm are trivial then going back and answering your own assumption.. it is not...it is because when you are new and first sign on you are flooded with commands and if a player were to be confused as a new player should be and accept all of them as they come you will soon figure out that alot of people have different agendas and if you try to help them all you will be facing a different sector exit every time you press insert and not actually going anywhere}

#3 "And so we cannot communicate? Or does everything go through the comm? There is a communication problem in this game, further limiting it is stupid. On the other hand getting on TS will help you immensly, you can ask questions, and find out what's happening more easily."
{ you should communicate through private messages in my opinion if there needs to be a warning that something is happening you should have to PM the comm and he can alert everyone. Either that or have a seperate chat buffer specificly for comm because with only a few lines of text a new player couldnt pay attention to what the comm is saying between all the other chat if his life depended on it }

#4 "The ammount each player is "payed" is a fixed ammount either recieved in paydays or by miner loads, then devided to the number of players and then ALWAYS given to the commander, how many and what rank players you have on your team do not affect cash flow, at least directly (losing all your miners because you are stacked against...)."
{ Well thanks for explaining the system allthough it wasnt exactly a response to number 4 being the suggestion that new players get a bonus to the cash they recieve before donating improving the donation regardless of what proportion they are recieving and why from what and where }

#5 they are, you have to ask for cash.
{ Well then i would say the instance that FF creates a newbie player bombing his own teams constructs would be entirely 100% comm fault then but at least this was a response to my suggestion rather then your own rendition of it }

Its nice to know that at least a few take some time out from the normal day to make themselves look stupid rather then some helpless newbie. but anyhow thanks for the feedback i would end this with a smiley but i cant find just the right one.

My opening statement was because if you waited a month before posting you'd find out just how WRONG you are about almost everything.

Eeek... quickly, I will try to offer some advice for #3, if you don't already know about it...

You can filter the lobby chat (<escape><g><f>) while in game, it will reduce the amount of spam you see in the chat window.

Good luck with the next bit of unplesentness... /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doh:" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

FF got turned off when GT was introduced and with good reason
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Zamargo is nearly as hard to follow as jimmy. Welcome.

FF is good. Also, when I started playing FF seemed to be on almost of the time. After a few accidental FF miner/basekill boots, I started paying more attention.

GT doors are not a perk.

I skipped through most of Zonarg's post. tl;dr.

But asking people to communicate through PMs? Jeez.

Dude, go read the academy. Then try following just stuff in bold chat. The chat system has worked wonderfully for 7 years. It will not be changed. I've flown with you a few times. You're a good newbie. Instead of trying to change the system, please try to adapt to it. The former only causes grief for you and the general population.

Okay, first of all im sorry about getting all aggitated to the responses on my suggestions. lol allthough i was pretty sure my suggestions wouldnt exactly bring about change but they were only suggestions and i had no idea they would actually be taken so deeply as to cause..."grief" i promise im not going to be behind a speakers stand saying "i have a dream... that all chat will change and every newbie will be treated equal" anytime soon lol i have a habit of tossing out ideas because i am also a game developer i just went from Windows API BitBlt functions through VB to C++ and DirectX 3-d games.

Being a programmer and game developer myself i think my suggestions are very valid personally and i think were purposely taken the wrong way because im new to this particular game. I actually had no problems with being a newbie but i have seen a few nasty coms be really harsh and felt the need to speak up for them so sorry Narg for being stupid about it. but number 5 is the only suggestion i had that time would have gave me enough information to change my suggestion and the whole shouldnt be allowed to post bit in response to my suggestions got me going. Im not on a mission to change anything just throwing stuff up in the air for feedback i didnt realize their was such a commitment involved in making suggestions.

The most confusing thing i found about this game is that an arena of say 76 people all have access to a 4 line chat text and access to giving you commands. sometimes i get so many commands i could dodge enemy fire by rapidly pressing insert and kicking on the booster in between. lol In all... love the game will be playing it for quite some time there are many many excellent features that simply cant be ignored. It has the strategic multiplayer team based battles like Starseige: Tribes, mixed with the in game team developments of something like Command & Conquer, mixed with enough in flight battle strategy and physics to call itself a flight sim.

I'm not familiar with that acronym. What's GT and why did it make FF a bad idea?

BTW I think the enviroment is needlessly elitistic and unfriendly towards newcomers. Believe it or not, but Allegiance needs fresh blood. Ideas about how the game would be less overwhelming to people just coming into it should be looked at carefully instead of getting shot down in the spirit of "everything is fine, and the last thing we need is more noobs".

allegiance has the capasity to run games with 200 players per server, and what we actually have is about 70, one one server (and that's a pretty big game).

And newbies flying around learning the game gives the vets a chanse to play the role of a heroic elite pilot. It's good that there is variance in skill level of friends and enemies.

People shouting FFS! in frustration all the time should worry about their blood pressure, and parhaps try to enjoy the game a little more.

For a team game, Allegiance certainly seems to bring out a rather edgy side in many people.
