This is what I've put in so far:

Bannable mistakes:
Spamming VC
probing red doors

Annoying mistakes:
Using the VC 'Need better figs/weapons'
Broadcasting useless info such as '2 scouts in Lemmi'

Tactical mistakes:
Stopping a friendly con from building
failing to stop an enemy con
mounting sheilds/missiles on a stealth ship
Flying to a pilot trying to hide with sheilds/missiles up
Ripping to an ass ship
Dropping probes directly in front of alephs

Silly mistakes:
Asking 'Can we start' when the game is in progress
Trying to dogfight someone vastly superior
Asking to be comm

Heres some more I just thought of, but haven't written up:
# Using Gat and nan on GT scout
# Ripping to Rix sr scouts
# asking for ships that cost money
# whining on the forums
# jumping on turrets
# following scouts through alephs
# pod killing
# not picking up friendly pods
# nanning nix ships
# scouting with ints/figs
# NOT SHOOTING NANS

Can I get someone to upload the minimap icon of an ass ship for me, please?

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Complete, barring the ass ship icon picture.

What happens if I make a mistake?

Bannable mistakes:
Spamming VC
probing red doors

Annoying mistakes:
Using the VC 'Need better figs/weapons'
Broadcasting useless info such as '2 scouts in Lemmi'
Asking for ships that cost money
Jumping on turrets when not wanted

Tactical mistakes:
Not shooting nans
Not carrying a nan
Stopping a friendly con from building
failing to stop an enemy con
mounting sheilds/missiles on a stealth ship
Flying to a pilot trying to hide with sheilds/missiles up
Ripping to an ass ship
Ripping to SR scouts
Pod killing
Not picking up pods

Dumbass mistakes:
Dropping probes on alephs
nanning nix
following scouts through alephs
using gat and nan on GT scout
scouting with an int/fig

Silly mistakes:
Asking 'Can we start' when the game is in progress
Trying to dogfight someone vastly superior
Asking to be comm
Whining on the forums

Needs some work in the language and consistency department. I will eventually work on it, but I would prefer native speakers to do it. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Links to ship pages need to be wiped, I'll get to it when I'm back from work if it's not done by then.
n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...

A suggestion when talking about ramming Cons you might want to include the lessons we learned today in the Constructor Mechanics Thread (http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...showtopic=38733) about how one shouldn't ram Large Cons, might save the newbs that read a little grief.

Huzzah for pictures!

Turns out this article is the 2nd most viewed page* on the wiki (probably has something to do with being linked to from the Academy Cadet course), so I figured I'd snaz it up with some pictures.

* Popular Pages makes for some interesting reading.

Im pretty sure the ship in the pod picture is a GT fig, not an int.
