Hey, I thought it went fine other than some wierd server crashes towards the end. I think it is stable enugh for a Beta Weekend from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. One or two more beta nights and lets go with it for a weekend. After the PK and XT squad, we need the upgrade.

In the absence of orders, go find something and kill it
The problem I have with a weekend beta would be squad games, but I got an idea for the future.
What about changing ASGS in a way that makes it checks on the internet what the default lobby is whenever it launches.
A screen would show which lobby would be loaded.
There would be 3 lobbies: Normal, Beta and let's call the 3rd alpha.
The "alpha" lobby could change many times a day and would be used to test new things and new concepts.
The beta lobby would hold new features that were tested and tried on the alpha.
The normal lobby would be what R3 is: A very stable version that went through a lot of testings.
Make wednesdays alpha days by switching the ASGS default lobby to the alpha lobby.
The beta lobby would be the default one for the rest of the week.
The main lobby could be used for SGs and as a backup version if a bug made it to the beta without getting caught by the alpha test.
Results:
-The beta server would not be where features are mass tested for the 1st time and would be more stable and be good enough for regular play.
-People would almost always play on the beta, which would mean much more testings.
-Everyone would enjoy the latest version.
-Crashing a game would not be necessary
Cause right now, there's really no point in playing R3. It really sucks to go back to R3 after playing R4. Just put a decent server on the beta lobby and send a bunch of people there and let the fun begins.
