Learn to Probe.
now that i only play SG's i spend about 90% of the time on a scout and about 70% of that time is probing/d'ing cons. rest of the time is hunting uneyed bomb runs (which are generally quite obvious on 15- player games) or eyeing miners. i guess it depends on the faction

A note to coms... if you want scouts to probe, and you want to know where their miners are and shout again and again and again for scouts to probe their back sectors as the game starts..... a home rip is needed at some point. Basic scouts doesn't carry very many probes, subtract again if you want us to have nanite or spare dumbfires/ammo/mines for miner killing.
I understand the tactic of no home rip, or waiting on a home rip... you just can't have all your cake and eat it too. Sorry.
I came, I saw, I probed.

No kidding. Home tp ftw. Or carrier or a tp next to a op. It doesn't matter otherwise it's a looooong ride back home to get more probes and usually by then the comm is screaming for miner d or something of that nature.Florida_Phil wrote:QUOTE (Florida_Phil @ Sep 10 2007, 04:33 PM) A note to coms... if you want scouts to probe, and you want to know where their miners are and shout again and again and again for scouts to probe their back sectors as the game starts..... a home rip is needed at some point. Not having a home rip is especially funny when the comm screams at everyone to GET OUT OF THE BASE AND PROBE IT UP. Then when most of the team is on the other side of the map the comm can't understand WHY IS IT TAKING SO #&$*ING LONG TO GET SOME MINER D. I usually lol at that point.

I am and idiot and I suck at Allegiance. Deal with it.
In other news, nanning also wins games. If there's a team of 18 and it takes over 8 minutes of yelling, screaming, and CAPS to get more than 1 nan (and that really isn't my style, that's how darn frustrating and idiotic the team were being) then you don't really have much of a chance.

So many things win games. So, basically, dogfighting loses games?Gandalf2 wrote:QUOTE (Gandalf2 @ Sep 11 2007, 01:37 PM) In other news, nanning also wins games. wrong forum....
EDIT: but I will say that from now on, when a commander buys me heavy scouts, I will immediately fill a scout completely full of probes and go drop them appropriately.
And if he adds EWS 2 to the mix, I might just probe the whole game!
Nothing beats being able to get cover all the alephs in 3 to 4 sectors in one trip from base. /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />
