Just reading that article makes me thrilled to have the potential chance of joining ACS in the future.
Gotta love Alleg. Hope the skills I develop here can translate into other fields of life.

It's a great program, ACS certainly opens your eyes to some interesting things, especially if you like number crunching. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
n.b. I may not see a forum post replied to me or a pm sent to me for weeks and weeks...

I was able to capture the small communist country of Cuba because of what I learned in Allegiance Command School....

mmmmmmm, numbers.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

There isn't that much number crunching. The article we posted is probably the most number intensive of the lot. Aside from a few places where we compare the different anti-base weapons to AB1, our articles are almost entirely conceptual.

Yah, I would say piloting involves much more number crunching than commanding. Commanding is all about controlling your subordinates ... sort of like herding cats.
