Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
There isn't that much number crunching. The article we posted is probably the most number intensive of the lot. Aside from a few places where we compare the different anti-base weapons to AB1, our articles are almost entirely conceptual.

Yah, I would say piloting involves much more number crunching than commanding. Commanding is all about controlling your subordinates ... sort of like herding cats.
