Basically, ASGS starts fine as normal, I log in through it, messages and polls are checked, and Allegiance is launched. Then apon trying to view the lobbies (AKA, problem encountered at step #8).

The only thing that has changed since the last time I played, is that the game has been updated and that you started that callsign connection thing. No modifications to my computer have been made. My firewall is setup to allow Allegiance and ASGS to function normally. Neither my firewall or virus scans have changed since last time, and neither caused a problem then. If it's required, my firewall and virus scan are McAfee products.

Problem Encountered at Step #: 8
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): Allegiance
What Error Message: ASGS Authentication Failure. Please restart the game using ASGS
Comments (What you tried, description, etc):
I have tried every possible setting combination I can come up with as far as ASGS's easily changeable settings go.
As stated above, nothing on my computer has changed since the last time I played, and everything worked then.

I'd try a reinstall, but for some strange reason can't find the installer program. Seeing as how I'm on dial-up, re-downloading the whole game isn't exactly um.... well, it's easier said than done.

I've already downloaded and put into place the ASGS Client and Updater.... So it shouldn't be that. It has to be something in the game itself, I figure.

I've also tried disabling my firewall and virus scan. Didn't work.

So, you've got a fighter. It's still space debris, until you get some skill.

When exactly did you last play? What do you mean with callsign connection thing?

If the installer is older than 6-12 months, you probably need a fresh one.

Last time I played was likely in April (same month I got the installer). And the callsign link thing. Mind you, I never uninstalled the game since then. It's been on my computer the whole 2 or so months.

Everything worked fine in April.

Hmm...

Try changing the ASGS connection method (HTTP/Dplay).

Alerady did that. No change.

I've also tried running in safe mode.

Changed you internet browser settings? I think this is tied in with ASGS

IE in 'work offline mode'? but you don't realize it because (like most people) you use Firefox instead /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
