I'm looking at games, and all it says under skill level is 'any'.

Where should I go?

There aren't often newbie only games up unless the newbs have created one on any of the "Newbie Servers". Those servers have a protection mechanism where players who join with a rank > 6 are autobanned for 24 hours.

However, there is often a 'newbie' game going on a normal sever, if you see 2 games running, one with "X" players, and a 2nd with about a quarter of that, chances are that's a newbie game.

Don't worry, hes one of the resident voobs. Just ignore everything he says.

You know the lobby, that has all of the active servers? Each server has a name on the left hand side, you are looking for a name that contains the word "Newbie".

A little advice..... don't spend too much time in the newbie servers. Even if you aren't helping alot, join into the games with all those veteranss as well, and try to pickup a few things from not only flying around, but observing how they play. When i first started out, i skimmed through all the forum pages related to gameplay and through the academy material as well, and even though i didn't take out the time to thoroughly read it all, it helped a LOT.

Oh, and the most important skill you can develop for playing any type of game, is situational awareness (which is being able to understand whats going on and where at all times or at least most of the time)

good luck /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Yeah, that's hard. I haven't got a clue most of the time. I'm just looking for enemy and shooting them.

QUOTE I'm just looking for enemy[/quote]Easiest way to do that is learn how to read the minimap. And that's the first step to getting a clue about what's going on.
Lesson 9: Using the minimap wisely and quickly.
Lesson 10: Knowing your minimap icons

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
