The last time I saw this was Defi doing it. She was right outside the red door of her garrison making it pretty much impossible to make it stop. She was doing it to be annoying. It was extremely irritating, unsportsmanlike, childish, equivalent to spamming, and deserves a ban from now on.
Had it actually been used a tactic, I would have respected it.
Spamming Bomber sighted messages
How do you pod someone who is 35k from ur nearest base and sitting 100m out side their garr?
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
This "pod them, it's a good tactic" nonsense needs to go. It is not feesible to go pod this person because they will just float back to base (which they are 50m away from), buy a new bomber, and continue spamming.

That doesn't spam constantly like the "Bomber sighted" does. The "Bomber sighted" can spam like every half second. The "Outpost under attack" will chime in about every 10 seconds, which is totally managable. Go defend your outpost, you know?
I really don't see where the argument is for this "tactic." It's spam, it's annoying, and nobody should be doing it. If you want to distract the other team, get eye for a couple seconds and make sure they see you, then go hide somewhere. They'll camp the aleph expecting you to pop through, aka be distracted. I think anybody who's driven a bomber for any length of time has done this - instead of going through, you just camp and make them all sit in one place for an extended period of time while the comm expands or mines or whatever.
There is no reason to spam it other than to be a douchebag.
