Hey all,

I just wanted to make a quick apology. Apparently people get too caught up in drama with this community and well I'm going to step up and quell it by stepping up.

SysX is a good squad with good people in it. In the past there may have been certain member(s) that were viewed as annoying asshats but that drama has left the squad and it is trying to clean up the aftermath of that image. I have completely enjoyed my short time with the squad and love the esprit de corps. That being said the latest incident with saraman and 2 sysx backing me up... my apologies. They were being good squad mates. This is not sysx's fault. And Saraman I know I offended you and I apologize. However.... next time please take it to me instead of trying the tattle route. I do hope that MJ and Crafty decide to stick with the community... and I hope the community will support me in that wish. They have done a lot of good things for the community... @Cadet and SysX as a whole.

There has been a trend in the community as of late where certain things are enforced certain ways and others aren't. It seems very selective and double standardized. Some members get away with a hell of a lot while others are watch dogged. It reminds me of the bush administration and the geneva convention. "Enforce when convenient to my agenda." Maybe this is just my point of view. I don't think it's necessarily done on purpose. The admins are cool people that I mostly get along with and have done a lot for this community.

I do not intend to spurn drama. In fact I have very good intentions with this community. I have made a lot of good friends and have had countless hours of fun playing time with people and would like to give back to it. I've spent some dough on it because well.. when you like a game your willing to spend a little cash flow to play it. ( keeping in mind i'm a poor college kid :-p) It's with that I have volunteered to be a cadet adviser and my squad may or may not approve that. I also would like to help out in any other way I can. If you have ideas let me know.

That being said, people know I have a distinct personality. I don't take @#(! from people and I don't think I should have to, and I will flip @#(! back where it is being dished out. My motto is don't dish it out if you can't take it. If I do something that offends you... or if you wish me to act or behave in a certain manner. Feel free to PM me or talk to me or confront me in person TS or otherwise about it. I'm not hard to talk to, and I am mature enough to handle constructive criticism. Hell... you might even get an apology from me if I was being an ass. But I don't support a tattle mentality. After all... there is the mute button... and you should probably try solving a problem you have with me... with me first. Likewise I give the same courtesies to other players. Ask OMB... I don't cry to admins when people do stupid @#(! to me as he should know from 2 days ago.

All in all this game is fun... otherwise why would we play it. Lately a lot of people have randomly been getting fed up with it in certain ways for different reasons. Be it. stacking.... HELO... people drama, squad drama, etc. I think it's always nice to remind each other that this is a game, and... well we can take a break. But mostly this is a game where we come to blow off steam... not create it. I seriously have no problems with anyone in this community ( I may have been highly annoyed by BladeofGod/malice42) but looking at it I don't even dislike that cat... I just wish he'd join @cadet :-p. So if anyone feels the need to confront me about anything... feel free to do so. Trust me I can handle it. And lets get it all out in the open. Again.. my apologies if I have caused people discomfort and made people unhappy.

Ultimately communities are formed to take care of one another and making others unhappy is counter-productive to this. So with that. I hope everyone has an excellent week.

I don't think anyone blames SysX as a squad for what happened.

However, this is not the playground, and "he was backing up a squadmate" is not an acceptable excuse for theirs and your immature actions.

Whether or not the community wants to believe that what you guys did was justified is up to the individual... but I have no doubt that all three of your actions represent your character very accurately...

No I do not think think that it reflects Sysx, but by giving the excuse that they're "backing you up" as a squadmate, you imply that it does reflect the squad.

Therefore, if you are truely want to keep your squad out of it, recognize that all three of you acted as individuals and that's just the way you are.

What you did was pretty weak. What your squadmates did was just as weak. It does reflect on SysX, and your apology with the reminder that "tattleing" is for pussies just sinks things even lower than they already were. Why should Saramin say one word to you after what you said? You deserve whatever you get in this case IMHO. Ask Pook to delete this for you.

I'm not rehashing what happened. We already got our 1 hour bans and the incident is over as far as I'm concerned. And... I think by apologizing even if I feel it could have been handled differently by both parties is the best thing for me to do. So I'm doing just that. And leaving this post. I know it opens up plenty of oppertunities for flaming. And if people feel the need to flame go ahead. But I hardly think that accepting responsibility for my actions is the mark of immaturity.

When you wear your tag, you carry your squad's weight. 'nuff said.

SysX has quite a few great people, and they actually bring a decent image to the squad, but a few are complete and total jerks to everyone around them, so its not your fault. if you explode once or twice it should be taken offensively..

First of all Para this post was made because people are saying things about the squad... and they shouldn't. Some one said a negative comment about SysX offending people on NOAT earlier thus I decided to create this post in it's defense. Not mine. I'm not defending myself at all I'm actually apologizing. 2nd we did act as individuals... as individuals that are a part of a team. Crafty MJ and myself almost ALWAYS wing each other. We like to fly together... we're always on TS... and we have fun with one another. If I feel something unjust is happening to any one of them you bet your arse I'm going to step up and say something in their defense which is what they did for me. Now... if that was the proper decision for us 3 to make together maybe not. But it happened, and I as the focal point feel it is my responsibility to accept what happened on my shoulders.

Now if that's school yard rhetoric and we're just a bunch of immature schoolyard kids in your eyes para then so be it. I'm not going to change your mind if you have it made up and it's pointless to try. But your right about one thing para. It's up to Sara and the community to either accept the apology as individuals... or not, and there is nothing else I can do about it at this point.

There's a difference between an apology and a half-apology.

Apology: "Saramin, I'm sorry I offended you, please forgive me."

Half-Apology: "Saramin, I'm sorry you got offended by the way I am, but that's just the way it is.... and here's how it was actually justified if you read between the lines of my post!"

You misunderstood then. I said "Saraamin, I'm sorry I offended you, please forgive me... I'll try not to do it again... if I do please let me know and handle it with me."

Very good, now if you would just edit the first message to that effect and take out the political/ other stuff, we'd have quite a nice thread!

Or you could just delete evertyhing and send it via PM.

I'll be checking up here, and if that happens I'll be sure to delete all my replies.
