IMHO Norton System Security is bloatware. Most anything else would be preferred.

To get the effect you seek for zooming when in the turret you will need to map the mouse wheel up to full thrust and down to reduce thrust. I believe you are correct that the mouse wheel doesn't work for zooming when in the cockpit.

I followed installation instructions, by running the install and then I set "Max Texture Size" to 2048 prior to launching but then when I launch a scout the system crashes in an "Allegiance stopped responding" message.

Note that I am using Cortui so there might be a conflict there.
