Is TS ever used for the main games, or mostly for squad play?

Nanning on a successful bomb run.
Popping enemy fighters in a dogfight.
Anything that makes me feel like I know what I'm doing.

So I guess I'll finally join the forums. I've flown a few missions, briefly got my rank up to Novice(2), but now I'm down to Newbie(0) again.

My new computer pulls some graphical weirdness with alleg. Namely, it makes the space backgrounds look like kaleidoscopic vomit. Turning environment to off in the graphical settings has ameliorated this somewhat, but it still gets buggy when my ship gets too near another one.

I'm running an HP dv6 ...
