I followed the instructions for setting up a local server for LAN games, and it all went pretty simply. My question is - does practicing in a LAN game affect the player level? I wouldn't want to go from (0) to (5) just putzing around on my own.

Thanks.

Following advice here and in similar topics, I've replaced my Avast AV with Avira (uninstall, reboot, install Avira). I set up two Special AP enties to pass info through the router to Alleg, both opening port range 2300-2400, one with incoming port 47624, the other with incoming 6073 (not sure if ...

:psyched:  :bang:

QUOTE (FreeBeer @ Apr 6 2009, 10:39 PM) Disabling it doesn't disable it. (If I had a dime for every time I've had to type that...)

REBOOT! Check to see if it is still off and give it a try. Or just uninstall it, REBOOT, then try Alleg.

Tried the uninstall and reboot, no luck so far. Tried both ...

QUOTE (HSharp @ Apr 6 2009, 08:09 PM) Uhm i'm not too sure as I don't use it myself but did you download the Avast version with bundled in firewall? That version has a problem with allegiance and if it is that's the problem, you have to uninstall in and reboot but I think you can download the Avast ...
