I have windows 7 had the same problem.

Uninstalled, downloaded new alleg setup files.
installed and then downloaded ASGS version 212
Had to delete an MDL file something about graphics I forget.
walked backwards around my pc waving a stick.....then sacrificed a chicken.
then it worked.

Just downloaded the allegiance files from the alleg.net site. Still getting "FIle Allegiance.exe has an invalid signature" Error on Windows 7

Ok, downloading version 212 didn't help

I got my Vista Ultimate 64 to work by uninstalling AVG, then playing BF2...and then reinstalling AVG. It still works.
