This solution covers the following error messages:

  • Microsoft detected a problem: "ACSS Launcher has stopped working. A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Symptoms of this error

ACSS may displays the error message "ACSS Launcher has stopped working...", after ACSS updated itself (autoupdate).

Cause

This error can be caused by your anti-virus software. Our software isn't signed and not installed on may PCs. That's why AV software doesn't trust our program much, specially if it downloaded additional software from the internet (autoupdate). The result is that it's blocking access to that program, because it thinks it can be rogue software, but it isn't.

Right now we only have confirmed reports of the following products:

  • Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 2012
  • Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 2013
  • (maybe products of other anti-virus software producers are effected, please let us know)

Solution
