Sometimes it becomes necessary for the Administration of the Free Allegiance Organisation to place a lifetime ban on a player. The player is locked from the servers and the game lobby via the ASGS system. Depending upon the situation they are usually locked out of our forums, too.

Lifetime bans for misbehaviour are not common - multiple chances are given for a player to change their ways.

In the case of a threat to the integrity and security of the forums or game, though, very little latitude is given. Hacking and attempted hacking is dealt with in a swift and harsh manner.

Effects of a Perma-ban

  • You cannot log on to Allegiance.
  • You cannot log on to the Free Allegiance forums (normally).
  • If, somehow, you get around the ASGS protection and create a new account, your new account will be perma-banned too.

Dealing with a Perma-ban

  • Start playing a different game.

Things not to do when Perma-banned

  • Complain about it on the forums
  • Create multiple forum accounts to complain about it
  • Trying to circumvent your Perma-Ban (reduces any chance of it EVER being revoked)
  • Actually circumventing your Perma-Ban (enjoy your day or two of playtime before your brand shiny new Perma-Ban arrives)

(Incomplete) list of Perma-banned players

  • 2000 - Black - cheating and hacking in order to ruin other's gameplay.
  • 2000 - Guns22 - cheating and hacking in order to ruin other's gameplay.
  • 2000 - Virus - cheating and hacking in order to ruin other's gameplay (repealed a few years later).
  • 2005 - Harold3 - Excessive gameplay disruption borne out of a profound lack of understanding. Harold3 stories are now used for comic relief.
  • 2006 - Mastametz - harassing other players constantly and maliciously.
  • 2008 - Fragtzack - harassing players and generally being a nuisance, circumventing initial ban.
  • Several more individuals attempting to hack the servers.
