Moving Drone Ships

Introduction

In every game of Alleg there is a really good posibility that there will be drones. These are the ships that the games A.I. will fly.

Types of Drones

There is quite a few number of different drones in the Allegiance Universe, two of the main ones you should have come across quite often while playing, the miner and the constructor, a third that you may or may not have seen is the carrier. Which is basically a moveable reloading station. There are a few more drones but those are faction specific so we will concentrate on these 3 for now since they are available for every faction.

Anyone in game can move drones. they will accept and execute any order given by anyone on the same team. You can send drones to anything or anywhere in the sector, you can even send them to the other side of the map from the other side of the map.

Miners

There will be times where it will be more efficient for you as a player to move a miner rather than wait for the comm or WL. Mostly these times will be when a miner has come under attack and there is no immediate defense nearby. If there is a ref in the sector send the miner to offload whatever he3 they have already mined. Better to get the money and buy a new miner than to lose both. If there is an dockable base in the sector send the miner to that base. More help will launch from the base. If there is a teleport in the sector send the miner there. Additional help can rip in.

Constructors

There will be times where it will be more efficient for you as a player to move a constructor rather than wait for the comm or WL. Mostly these times will be when a con comes under attack or when two cons meet in the same sector. Depending on what faction you are and wether you have bombers or not. You will want to either build the con closer to their base or futher away. If your con is badly defended rip it out to a safe sector and protect it until it rips.

Carriers

If you have a carrier there are various things you can do with it: When using carriers offensively send them away from enemy bases so your offense and defense have more time to rip in. Always keep your carrier moving if it is coming under attack, even better rip it out then send it back after nanning it. Park it next to your ref so that when attackers come you send miners to offload at the ref and any additional help can rip in, also it will rescue any pods on your team. Park it right on the aleph where the other team is attacking from, not only do you partially block the aleph your defenders can realod without having to dock at a base saving time.
