Big events such as Zone Games attract hundreds of players for a single game and things can get hectic pretty quickly. Because of this a set of rules are enforced by @Allegs and Event Staff to help ensure things go smoothly.
Event Game Rules
- Before the game begins, you are asked to refrain from chatting unless asked a question by an @Alleg or Event staff.
- The organizers need to get the game off the ground and a 100+ players typing make that difficult.
- Anyone typing unnecessarily will be force-disconnected from the game as a stern warning. Do NOT type unless you need to.
- @Allegs will remove players from the game entirely if they do not heed this warning.
FAQ
How do I join an Event?
Prior to an event, a poll is automatically issued to all players via ASGS asking if you will attend the event game. In order to play answer "Yes". If you're unsure, answer "Ask again later".
On the event day everyone who voted "Yes" in this poll will be automatically issued with a special event @TAG appended to their callsign.
There will be a special server set up, named something unique and clear such as ZONE GAME #4. You simply join that server then join the team which corresponds to the @TAG you have been assigned.
- i.e. If you sign in and find your callsign is Joe_Bloggs@IC then you need to join the Iron Coalition (IC) team.
Where's my Tag?
Q. I voted "yes" in the poll. How come I don't have a @TAG?
A. Only your "primary" callsign will receive the event tag upon login regardless of which callsign placed the vote. Your "hiders" or alternate nicks will not receive the tag.
To see which of your callsigns is your primary, log into the ASGS Account Management website and look at the list of "Active Callsigns". The first one listed is your primary.
Can I join late?
Q. I voted "no" in the poll but now am able to play. Can I join anyway?
A. Each event is different, and late joiners may not be allowed depending on unforeseen circumstances. The Event Zone Leader,and/or Event organizer, recognizable by the @Event tag manages late joiners of events.

I can't get in!
Q. I can't find the server / my game crashes when I join / I didn't get a @TAG issued / etc. Please Help!
A. There should be a thread in the FAO General Forum where you can post your problem and volunteer staff will try and help you solve your problem.
Alternatively you could try logging into the IRC Allegiance chat channel and get someone there to help you.
