Event Game FAQ

Big events attract hundreds of players for a single game, so things can get hectic pretty quickly. Because of this, a set of rules are enforced by @Allegs and Event Staff to help ensure things go smoothly.

Event Game Rules

• Before the game begins, you are asked to refrain from chatting unless asked a question by an @Alleg or Event staff.
  • The organizers need to get the game off the ground and a hundred+ players typing make it difficult.
• Anyone typing unnecessarily will be force-disconnected from the game as a stern warning. Do NOT type unless you need to
• @Allegs will remove players from the game entirely if they do not heed this warning.

How do I join an Event?

Prior to an event, a poll is issued to the community asking if you will attend the event game. On event day, everyone who voted "Yes" in this poll will log in with a special event @TAG appended to the end of their callsign. This tag indicates the team to which you have been assigned.

I voted "yes" in the poll. Howcome I don't have a @TAG?

Only your "primary" callsign will receive the event tag upon login regardless of which callsign placed the vote. Your "hiders" or alternate nicks will not receive the tag. To see which of your callsigns is your primary, log into the ASGS Account Management website and look at the list of "Active Callsigns" on the righthand side. The first one listed is your primary.

I voted "no" in the poll but now am able to play. Can I join late?

Each event is different, so late joiners may not be allowed. The Event ZoneLead (Ozzy) manages late joiners of events.

Why did I just get booted for 0mins?

Event Games have strict chatting rules to prevent unmanageable spam. Your 0min boot was a warning issued because you typed something that disrupted the organization of the game. Please remember to keep quiet and let the game get started!
